Paradise Under Siege
Growing up on the Big Island of Hawaii, I experienced the unique beauty of the rain forest. During these formative years, I realized how fragile the native ecosystem is -and how vulnerable it was to plant and animal invaders.
As I trekked across the island with my camera (and drone), I documented the beauty around me. After gathering the raw footage, I began to search for pieces that could be transformed into a story. So that people across the world could meet this web of life -that can only be found in Hawaii.
The narration is based on a collection of expert testimony - my interviews with biology professors, farmers, and teachers of traditional Hawaiian practices. Each time, I ask what could be done to save this rare paradise on earth.
